You’ll need to pick up a referral card from the circulation desk at the Main or Valhalla Branch Library. Fill the card out, give it to a friend, and have them bring the completed referral card when they sign up. You will both be entered into the prize drawing!

You will need photo ID and proof of residency, school attendance, or employment in Mount Pleasant to sign up for a (free) library card.

There is no minimum age to sign up for a library card, but a parent or legal guardian is required to sign anyone under 18 up for a library card. The parent or guardian will need to be present for the sign-up process and bring a valid library card or photo ID and proof of residency or school attendance within the Town of Mount Pleasant.

You can always call or come to the Main or Valhalla Branch Library to speak with a staff member. Our patron eligibility policy is posted here on our website, it lists all of the acceptable documentation to obtain a library card.
